Stainless Steel tee is a common buttweld fittings, it is an important accessories of piping system. Based on different outlet diameter, there is two different types – equal tee and reducing tee pipe fittings.

What is Stainless Steel Tee?

Standards for Stainless Steel Tee

ASME B16.9:

Description: This standard specifies the dimensions, tolerances, and manufacturing requirements for factory-made wrought stainless steel butt welding fittings, including tees. It covers a wide range of sizes from 1/2″ to 48″ (DN15 to DN1200) and various schedules such as Sch 10, Sch 20, STD, Sch 40, Sch 80, Sch 100, Sch 120, Sch 140, Sch 160, and XXS.


ASTM A403:

Description: This standard covers the material specifications for stainless steel fittings, including tees.

Common Grades: WP304, WP304L, WP316, WP316L, WP321, WP347, and others.


ASME B16.11:

Description: This standard specifies the dimensions, tolerances, and manufacturing requirements for forged stainless steel fittings, including threaded and socket weld tees. It covers sizes from 1/8″ to 4″ (DN6 to DN100) and various pressure classes such as Class 2000, 3000, and 6000.


MSS SP-43:

Description: This standard provides specifications for forged steel fittings, including stainless steel tees.


EN10253:

Description: This European standard specifies the requirements for stainless steel fittings for pipelines, including tees.
